About Me
My Journey
Growing up, I learned more from the fictional worlds of books than from the reality in which I lived; many of my mentors were my favorite authors and the characters they created. When my love for reading developed into a passion for writing, I was able to report on the truths of the real world rather than exploring those of a fictional one. My life is still filled with stories, but they are real and under the surface instead of on a page.
While I perceive my journalistic journey to have begun before high school due to my life-long search for truth, 2021 saw my first articles. In 10th grade, I enrolled in Media Arts, an alternative English class. Through the course, I became a staff writer for my school's online publication, Scot Scoop. I am now in my third year of Carlmont's journalism program as Scot Scoop's Editor-in-Chief and a staff writer for Carlmont's news magazine, The Highlander.

Even when I'm not writing articles, conducting interviews, or editing, my search for truth persists. In enjoying my favorite things this world has to offer – movies, books, music, and trees – I continue to view everything with skepticism and curiosity.
Outside of journalism, I am a member of Belmont's Youth Advisory Committee, where I work with our Parks and Recreation Department to serve the youth of Belmont. In my free time, I love to read, play guitar, and find new hiking trails. Although I am an introvert who can be perfectly happy alone, I find the purest joy with friends. In addition to leading the Scot Scoop staff through a successful year, I soon hope to master reverse parallel parking.
